Benchmarks Company Limited (BM) regards impartiality as one of the fundamental principles of certification. It implements impartiality management in organizational structure, operational procedures, and financial administration; establishes an impartial governance structure; operates an unbiased certification system; identifies, analyzes and eliminates threats to impartiality; and delivers certification services in a fair manner.

The company applies a Managing Director responsibility system under the oversight of an Impartiality Committee. This system manages certification impartiality by identifying, analyzing and controlling the potential for conflicts arising from the interests inherent in certification activities, including all relationships of the certification body. These measures are documented to ensure the confidentiality, objectivity and impartiality of certification activities.

BM emphasizes social benefit and operates a fee-based certification service with independent economic accounting. Its revenue is derived solely from certification fees charged to applicants and certified clients. The company accepts no form of subsidy from applicants or certified clients, monitors its financial status and income sources, and shields itself from commercial, financial and other pressures so as to protect the impartiality and independence of its certification work.

The company maintains a comprehensive system for accepting and handling appeals, complaints and disputes, and subjects itself to supervision by accreditation Bodies, certification clients and the general public.
